Drosera natalensis is a beautiful and easy to grow sundew native to the subtropical coastal mountains of South Africa. It's dewy spatulate leaves and red coloration under bright light readily attract fungus gnats and fruit flies. This species is an excellent starter plant for new growers as well as a timeless classic for seasoned veterans.
A smaller growing species, adult plants reach a maximum diameter of 5cm (2" inches). It prefers cool subtropical growing conditions and dappled light, but being a mountains species it has a wide temperature tolerance (+30 to +1 Celsius). An excellent terrarium or windowsill plant!
