Sarracenia alata is a tall and elegant pitcher plant species which can be found in undisturbed bogs and wetlands from Alabama west to Texas, as such S. alata loves hot, humid weather, and lots of sunlight. This species makes very tall pitchers with attractive red interior veining, which produce copious amounts of nectar making this species a true wasp catching specialist. This species is also know for it's gorgeous creamy yellow flowers in the Spring and for producing it's largest pitchers of the season when the summer heat mellows to Fall.
Plants for sale are single growth point plants, divided from our mother plants in early Spring.
