Most S. x courtii (a hybrid between S. purpurea and S. psittacina) plants produce thick evergreen pitchers that are dark red. 'Chimera' is totally unique in that along with the typical x courtii features it produces random patterns of anthocyanin (pigment) free areas over the pitchers and flowers, in absolutely spectacular form.
'Chimera' produces quite possible our favorite Sarracenia flowers ever!!!
