We love Sarracenia x excellens! It's a fantastically beautiful natural hybrid between S. leucophylla and S. minor. It has terrific deep red frilled lids speckled with white fenestrations, it looks great early and just keeps getting better all season long! When it flowers it's a great plant to breed with!
This particular clone is originally from the world famous California Carnivores Nursery several years ago. In addition to its stellar provenance the particular clone is a cross between S. leucophylla and S. minor var. okefenokeensis the giant form of S. minor.
